The Brocher Summer Academy, organized in partnership with professors from Harvard University and the University of Geneva, brings together a dozen renowned professors and around fifty promising young researchers or professionals for an intensive week every two years. The program focuses on the ethical allocation of health resources from a global health perspective, offering participants a unique opportunity to deepen their theoretical and practical understanding of justice in health systems.
Each edition of the Summer Academy addresses a specific theme. In 2025, for example, the focus was on equitable access to care in multi-level health systems. The week is structured around daily workshops, lectures, and roundtable discussions, promoting direct exchange between participants and internationally renowned experts.
Through the Summer Academy, the Brocher Foundation continues its mission to promote ethical reflection and dialogue between generations and disciplines, helping to train tomorrow's researchers and practitioners in the complex issues at the intersection of ethics, health, and public policy.
