The Fondation Brocher estate covers almost three hectares on the shores of Lake Geneva, in Hermance, just a few kilometers from Geneva. Offering a breathtaking view of the Jura peaks, the Centre Brocher is a haven of peace, ideal for residencies, retreats and scientific meetings.
Its wooded park, populated by lime, chestnut, tulip, maple and pine trees, is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, conducive to reflection and exchange.
La Villa
Built in 1884, the Villa Brocher was renovated in 2010 with respect for its heritage. Its modern furnishings contrast nicely with its 19th-century architecture, making it a particularly elegant venue. The dining room and lounge are ideal for small meetings.
Brocher Center
The Centre Brocher Auditorium can accommodate up to sixty people. It can be adapted to accommodate smaller groups around a round table. Equipped with audio-visual equipment suitable for modern conferences, its bay window offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the Jura mountains.
The Orangery
This Art Nouveau building features a single, rectangular volume with large windows. The openings, large round-headed bays, are made of wrought iron and polychrome glass. It overlooks a rose garden.
Le Pavillon des bois
From a warehouse for wood and garden tools, the former "wood shed" has become a two-bedroom bungalow and studio apartment.
At the time it was built, it housed a dovecote. This function, which ceased to exist many years ago, can still be seen in the openings on the façade, which now only have a decorative function.
La Chaumière
In 2012, the garage was renovated and converted into rooms to accommodate researchers in residence.
This elegant building, formerly a garage, has been completely restored. The technical installations and cladding have been refurbished, while the tiled roof, copper tinsmith's trade, false cement balcony cut-outs and joinery have been restored to their original condition.
The building offers 8 rooms. The work was carried out in line with the dual approach favored by the Foundation: heritage conservation and the creation of modern infrastructures.
La Gloriette
La Gloriette with its Doric columns, a pavilion overlooking Lake Geneva, represents a peaceful setting, cradled by the waves.
