The Brocher Foundation hosts, for 1 to 3-month residencies, Researchers coming from all over the world, to write a book, articles, essays and/or PhD thesis in an outstanding and peaceful environment that stimulates concentration.
Everything is done so that Junior and Senior Researchers staying at the same time develop a scientific network as well as one with experts from International Organizations located in Geneva (WHO, WTO, WIPO, UNHCR, ILO, ICRC, MSF…).
Since its inauguration in 2007, the Brocher Foundation welcomes 50 Researchers each year.
The rigorous selection process carried out by the Scientific Committee allows numerous experts to attend high quality workshops and to keep up to date with international ELSI news on medical development and health policies.
The Foundation provides Researchers with an accommodation and a workplace in its beautiful domain.
A few days after their arrival, the Researchers have the pleasure of presenting their respective research projects to each other during a one-day workshop held in the Foundation’s auditorium. This day, as well as the meals taken together every evening, encourages conviviality and informal exchanges between Researchers.
At the end of their stay, the Researchers submit a scientific report to the Foundation.
