The Brocher Foundation is a Swiss foundation under private law created by Mr. and Mrs. Brocher. The Brocher Foundation is recognized for its promotion of multidisciplinary research on ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) of medical developments and health policy.
Its main objectives are hosting researchers from around the world to work on their research, and organising workshops and academies.
The Foundation is also committed to opening its doors to members of the public of all generations, through its Ethics and Health Agora.
Our mission is to be a platform for dynamic exchange on health challenges in the 21st century. We focus on the societal impact of medical developments. We bring the scientific world together along with IGOs, NGOs and the general public.
These issues impact us all. Challenges facing medical research today include ethical decision-making, the development of laws, economic support of new technologies, achieving universal access to healthcare, and the conception of equitable health policies.
New membership are not allowed.
